province of South Cotabato, located in the Mindanao Island at the southern end
of the Philippines, abounds with natural wonders and is one of the
fastest-growing economies in the region. Despite the province’s smeared
reputation brought about by both hasty generalization and irresponsible
journalism, this place that nurtured me for more than half of my life, is
rising from the ashes.
